Democratic Congressional Candidate’s Close Ties to Islamic Activist Linda Sarsour Revealed

A candidate for Congress in Ohio’s August 3 special election to replace Marcia Fudge, now the President Joe Biden-appointed secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), has close ties to radical Islamic activist Linda Sarsour.

“And I see and love you [Linda Sarsour],” Nina Turner, running for Congress in Ohio’s 11th district said in response to a 2019 tweet from Sarsour.

That was hardly the pair’s only interaction.

Sarsour and Turner headlined the 2018 Women’s March together. That group was co-founded by Sarsour, but she was eventually removed from the board of that group in 2019 over numerous anti-Semitic comments.

“[Turner] is a national treasure. Every time I am in space with her, I wanna fight for justice even harder. She has taught so many of us about self worth. Taught us that we are fighting for what we deserve, not any favors. She inspires me every day,” Sarsour said in 2019.

Sarsour is one of the loudest voices of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

“The mainstream media doesn’t like centering Palestinian voices because they know we have the higher moral ground and have the ability to convince millions around the world of the truth – Israel is an Apartheid State and it is the aggressor and the oppressor,” she said last month on Twitter.

She and Turner have been connected since at least 2017, according to a Fox News report.

“The pair’s relationship goes further than just social media interactions — Turner also hosted Sarsour on her radio show in 2017, introducing her as the ‘amazing Linda Sarsour’ and an ‘activist extraordinaire,'” that report said.

Turner is a former Ohio state Senator who served as a national spokesperson for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) during his latest failed presidential bid.

She currently leads the crowded primary field in Ohio’s 11th district race, which encompasses Cleveland and is sure to be occupied by a Democrat after November’s general election.
